Website Designs

Here are two examples of "before and after" of fixing a website to reflect accuracy and standards.

#1 - The customer sent in multiple images to be used on the website and not all were utilized. It was a rule to use all images the customer sent in to the best of your ability. They also wanted to show that as a handyman, he was familiar with different tools and services. I replaced the KV (key visual on the home page) with "before and after" images on top of a conceptual stock photo of tools to showcase this. Also, in the "before" photo, the top of the website above the navigation bar did not shrink or minimize in mobile view due to the layout of the photo. I solved the problem quickly by making the space a solid color.

The customer liked that you could tell what he did right away at first glance on the website.

#2 - I changed the Key Visual to incorporate exterminator services that reflected Web.com standards. At the time, it was a standard to not have close ups of bugs or anything "gross" to prevent deterring future customers. So I incorporated a collage effect (design based off of the collage the original first designer created) showcasing an exterminator on the property. As an extra conceptual element, I used a "swoosh" design at the bottom of the Key Visual to go with the shark fin/water in the logo.

The customer liked the graphic element, he felt it helped make his website stand out.

These are examples of websites I have designed (some responsive, others non-responsive) while working at Web.com.
